VIDEO: Firefighters with the Charlotte Fire Department battled a two-alarm fire in south Charlotte Sunday afternoon.
The fire broke out at an apartment complex on Fishers Farm Lane around 3 p.m. A second alarm was struck shortly after the fire broke out. Firefighters arrived to fire showing at the scene. The fire was controlled in 50 minutes by 60 firefighters. Paramedics said two people were evaluated with non-life-threatening injuries. An investigation determined that the fire started due to a grill on the second-floor balcony. It caused $850,000 in damages to 18 units, according to firefighters. Channel 9's Glenn Counts learned that some people from the building will be displaced from their homes as the building where the fire started is not livable.

VIDEO: Two men were killed early Monday in a fire in Moore County.
After midnight, firefighters responded to a fire at a mobile home in the 1400 block of Union Church Road, near Carthage. A person driving by reportedly saw the fire and called 911.
According to Carthage Fire Chief Brian Tyner, once firefighters were able to knock down the flames, two victims were found.
The home was completely destroyed.
Union Church Road was blocked for longer than five hours due to the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Multiple agencies responded, including Carthage Fire & Rescue, Cypress Pointe Fire & Rescue, Whispering Pines Fire Rescue, Eastwood Fire Department, Southern Pines Fire & Rescue, Moore County EMS, Moore County Public Safety, the Moore County Sheriff's Office and the Carthage Police Department.

VIDEO: One person is injured after a fire broke out in a multi-story apartment building in downtown Raleigh early this morning, according to the fire department.
Firefighters were called to Sir Walter Apartments, which houses low-income seniors, in the 400 block of Fayetteville Street around 1:40 a.m. Monday. The blaze occurred in a unit on the seventh floor, the Raleigh Fire Department said, and was extinguished about 15 minutes after crews arrived on scene.
One person was found unresponsive in that unit and was taken to the hospital. Dozens of other residents in the building, which has age and income restrictions, had to evacuate. Crews continued to monitor residents and widespread smoke after the fire was put out.
