PHOTO: A fire broke out at the Southwind Apartments complex at 2403 27th Avenue South in Grand Forks just after 4 p.m. Sunday. When crews arrived, they found an eleven-car garage with heavy fire and smoke from multiple garages. Firefighters worked to contain the fire to half of the garage and prevent further damage and were able to get the fire out a short time later. The fire department worked with the apartment management and tenants to retrieve any belongings not destroyed. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
