Quick action by a woman in Grand Forks kept damage to a minimum after a bathroom fan caught fire in her apartment Tuesday evening. The Grand Forks Fire Department said the woman was home when her bathroom fan malfunctioned, overheated, and started a fire in the ceiling. She was able to put the fire out with an extinguisher. None of the residents in the apartment were displaced. Grand Forks Fire was assisted by Altru Ambulance and the Grand Forks Police Department.
