A garage fire in Grand Forks caused nearly $10,000 in damages, according to the fire department. In a media release, the Grand Forks Fire Department stated 13 firefighters responded at 8:05 p.m. Sunday to a report of smoke in the 600 block of N. 5th St. Fire crews quickly spotted the fire and brought the flames under control. There were no injuries, according to Grand Forks fire officials. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
