What is believed to be an electrical fire has halted operations at Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken in Radcliff.
Co-owner Lonnie Dennis said he received a call from employees about 5 p.m. Monday from the restaurant on South Dixie Boulevard.
Radcliff Fire Department responded shortly after, Radcliff Fire Chief Jamie Henderson said.
“We got called for an electrical fire with flames showing,” Henderson said. “They got here and extinguished it.”
The fire looked to have originated near the meter box on the back of the building. The emergency call that was made reported white and blue flames coming from the meter box, Henderson said. Because the fire was electrical, Henderson said Kentucky Utilities was on sight and terminated power to the business along with its neighboring businesses, Subway and Waffle House.
