VIDEO: The Florence Fire Department and EMS were dispatched for a possible structure fire on Monday morning. Responders were dispatched to 132 Honeysuckle Dr. to an apartment building that had smoke coming out of the roof near apartment No. 4 and flames were visible, officials say. Upon arrival, Florence units confirmed a working fire in a five-unit, two-story occupied apartment complex. Officials say there was an active fire coming from the roof and near the rear of the complex. According to the Florence Fire Department, units made an aggressive attack but found the fire to be in the common roof of the complex. All residents were accounted for, and due to the progression of the fire in the common attic, crews changed their tactics to an exterior/defensive attack.
