Fire crews were called to the 1400 block of Grant Avenue NE Thursday morning for reports of a lightning strike to a Cedar Rapids home. A neighbor tells Iowa's News Now she was washing her hands when she saw the strike. There were no reported injuries or serious damage from the incident and fire crews left the scene relatively quickly. Cedar Rapids Fire Department tells Iowa's News Now the damage was minimal but the homeowner will likely need an electrician to take care of some issues.
