A Dubuque County home was damaged after a fire that happened Monday night.
Dubuque County Sheriff's, Holy Cross, Farley, Sherrill, New Vienna and Guttenberg Fire Department responded to the fire at the 28000 block of Thunder Road around 6:40 p.m.
Residents of the home were already evacuated when crews arrived on scene.
The back of the house appeared to be on fire and had been caused by a gas grill that was outside of the home.
The house and contents are considered a total loss, with an estimated value of $500,000.
No injuries were reported.
