As homeowners prepare to set their clocks one hour ahead this Sunday, Ottumwa fire officials are encouraging them to inspect their smoke alarms as well. Ottumwa Fire Chief Tony Miller spoke about why it is important homeowners inspect their fire alarms. Miller says getting a smoke and carbon monoxide detector and changing the batteries can save families and loved ones. Daylight saving time starts 2 a.m. Sunday, March 12.
