PHOTOS: Authorities are investigating an early morning fire on the northeast side of the city.
Firefighters told KWWL it happened at about 12:30 in the 500 block of Ankeny Street.
When crews arrived on the scene, they found flames coming from the front of a home. It took them about 20 minutes to put it out.
No one was inside at the time, so there were no injuries, according to firefighters. Three dogs were in the backyard, but officials said they're safe. Only one individual is displaced at this time.
Waterloo fire and police are still investigating the cause of the fire.
