When Freddie Potwin bought his car less than a month ago he hoped it would carry him to college after graduation.
Potwin replaced the car's worn-out motor and got it through emissions testing. Early last Saturday, someone on the road in front of Freddie's home saw his car engulfed in flames, called 911 and got deputies and firefighters to the scene.
"And they got my parents out as quick as possible," says Potwin.
"There was a nice radio in here," Potwin says, looking over the burned-out wreckage. "There was some speakers, after-market. I had a lot of stuff in here at that point."
Flames got so big they also burned trees near the family's home.
Potwin, a senior at Hockinson High School, blames the fire on one of a handful of students who've been bullying him for years.
The latest harassment, Potwin says, came in texts of offensive photos.
"Kindly told him to stop and then he kept on sending pictures and stuff and it just got bad and I just -- I told my mom and a bunch of people about it. My mom can't do anything," says Potwin.
