Child found dead in Tacoma duplex fire

(VIDEO) Firefighters confirm one child was found dead in the charred remains of a duplex fire in Tacoma. Heartbroken family members say the 3-year-old child who died in the fire was named Nehemiah; his nickname was "Little Nemo." The fire began around 3:45 p.m. Wednesday in the 6400 block of South Tyler Street. Firefighters say when they arrived at the scene, they immediately went into rescue mode as flames and thick smoke engulfed the building. Family members say multiple people, including the boy and his mother, were on the second floor of the building when the fire broke out. The mother reportedly sustained injuries. Tacoma Fire Department officials say one person was transported to a hospital for evaluation, seven people were displaced from the three units damaged by the fire. As fire crews put out remaining hot spots, investigators are determining what caused the fire.
