The rear end of a northbound semi truck exploded in flames as it approached the Old Fairhaven Pkwy. exit on I-5 Monday afternoon. The fire and the ensuing response from firefighters blocked both northbound lanes for nearly an hour. KGMI listener Vladimir Kolesnikov captured this video on his cell phone as he approached the burning truck from behind. At one point, the closure had traffic backed up nearly 8 miles, beyond Lake Samish to the Skagit County line.
