Fire crews faced challenging conditions while fighting a 2-alarm fire overnight at Kadow’s Marina along the Columbia River. No one was hurt in the fire. Firefighters arrived at the marina around 10:30 p.m. Sunday to find two burning house boats, with flames spreading to a third. Clark County Fire officials said there aren’t any fire hydrants in the area, and the limited water supply added to problems with the slippery docks and hanging power lines. Two of the house boats were completely destroyed, while the third was severely damaged. The Red Cross stepped in to help those displaced families find shelter. Investigators are still finding out what caused the fire.
