Flames swept through an auto shop in Woodland early Tuesday morning, destroying the vehicles that were inside the building.
Fire crews arrived to find fire coming from the commercial building. Officials upgraded the incident to a 2-alarm fire.
"The fire moved from the work part of the shop to the paint section, where we were dealing with paint, solvents... all kinds of volatile materials," said Tim Dawdy, a spokesperson for Clark County Fire & Rescue.
Vancouver and Kalama Fire responded to help Clark County Fire & Rescue, and crews managed to get the fire contained.
Investigators are still working to find out what caused the fire and the extent of the damage.
