Firefighters rescued a man who became trapped inside his car when he drove down a flooded road that was closed. At 7:49 a.m. Thursday, Snohomish County Fire District 7 firefighters were called to a water rescue at the crossroads of Connelly Road and Elliott Road in Snohomish. Crews found a man stranded in his car in moving water. Rescue swimmers quickly got in the water and helped the man into the rescue boat. He was not hurt. Firefighters remind drivers that driving around road closure signs poses a risk to drivers and the crews called in to rescue them.
