A woman was killed after she was trapped under a King County Metro bus at the Northgate Transit Center on Thursday afternoon. Seattle Police Department says the bus collided with the 94-year-old woman at 1st Avenue Northeast and Northeast 100th Street around 3 p.m. Firefighters extricated the woman; they pronounced her dead at the scene. An SPD Drug Recognition Expert tested the driver and found no obvious signs of impairment. Traffic collision investigators are working to identify the woman. Just before 8 p.m., bus service resumed normal operation at the Northgate Transit Center.
