An injured climber was rescued at Index Town Wall after falling 20 feet on Saturday.
The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue unit and Snohomish County Volunteer Search and Rescue responded at 10:45 a.m. May 5.
Fire District 26 personnel made first contact with the climber, who had sustained a serious back injury from a 20-foot fall, according to a sheriff’s office news release.
SnoHAWK10 lowered a rescue technician and flight medic to the climber, who was moved to a small clearing once they were stabilized.
SnoHAWK10 transported the injured man to Providence Regional Medical Center for treatment, according to the release.
