“I wouldn’t want them to save my life,” said Yakama Nation tribe member Wade Ohms.
Ohms says he wouldn’t trust the EMTs from Yakima’s American Medical Response team, who recently posted controversial comments on Facebook about Native Americans.
“That’s really unprofessional. As EMTs, emergency technicians, that’s really sad to hear someone say something like that,” said Ohms.
Yakama Nation Chairperson Jode Goudy has urged the public to share the comments made by two local EMTs who commented on a photo of a Native American boy, wearing a shirt that read, 'No one is illegal on stolen land.'
