Firefighters raced to save an auto repair business after a pawn shop next door went up in flames Wednesday morning in Kent. Crews raced to the scene, in the 100 block of Central Avenue North, at around 3 a.m. The pawn shop was engulfed inflames when first responders arrived, so firefighters focused their efforts on saving an auto repair business next door that was threatened by the flames. Susanna Mesa, who works at the Soliano auto repair shop, says the owner of the business went into shock when he saw the fire. "He was just crying deadly tears when he saw this," she says. He calmed down some when firefighters told him they went inside and said the flames did not reach about 20 cars inside - though there still may be heat and water damage.
