Firefighters say fireworks are to blame for a fire at a Zillah home on Friday. Yakima County Fire District 5 says the 19-year-old son of the homeowner shot a Roman candle from the front porch, and it went into the bushes, starting the fire. Firefighters say they responded to the home on Houghton Road at around 2:30 P.M. They say the fire quickly spread to the home, where it damaged the attic and two rooms. Firefighters were able to put out the fire and no injuries were reported.
