A home was damaged by large brush fires that burned along I-5 north in South Seattle Friday morning. Multiple fires broke out around 4:30 a.m. along the northbound lanes of I-5 near the Boeing Access Road and then rapidly spread, with flames racing up a hill toward homes along Military Road, Seattle Fire officials said. Those flames burned the backside of one home and damaged an outbuilding in the 7400 block of Military Road. . Seattle firefighters also knocked down and extinguished the fire at the Boeing radio building while also protecting a liquid Propane tank. A Boeing crash truck with a 3,000-gallon water tank was also at the scene and able to spay water while moving along the freeway.
