A man was critically injured during a fire that burned his mobile home Wednesday morning, but was alive thanks to some of his brave neighbors.
Witnesses called for help as the fire broke out just before 9:30 a.m. at the Crystal Tree Village mobile home park, according to Christie Veley with Marysville Fire.
Firefighters and medics arrived to find one mobile home burning and a critically injured man who had been pulled to safety, Veley said. Medics rushed him to a local hospital.
Two of those neighbors, a man and a woman in their 70s, were being treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.
There is no word yet what started the fire. A neighboring unit also suffered smoke damage.
