It might have taken the better part of an hour, but the firefighters at King County Fire District No. 20 got their goat. According to public information officer Eric Autry, who spoke with SeattlePI on Monday, the firefighters of the goat's presence outside the station Sunday evening. At first, the firefighters didn't know what to do -- "There's no manual on how to handle goats," Autry said -- but decided on attempting to trap the billy or nanny in the station's enclosed training area, then call animal control.
After spending 45 minutes corralling it into the training area, the goat surprised the firefighters and spoiled their efforts by nonchalantly hopping over a fence.
"It wasn't an obstacle at all," Autry said.
