A Bellingham woman cleaning a marijuana pipe Tuesday set off a two-alarm fire that left her with minor burns, gutted her boyfriend’s apartment, and caused $100,000 in damage, according to the Bellingham Fire Department. On Tuesday morning the woman was using a torch to clean a cannabis pipe in a bedroom of Apt. 42, at the Bell Mall Villa apartments, 529 32nd St., according to the Bellingham Fire Department. She set down the torch too close to the bed. A guest in the home, Rich Wiley, said the tenant had left for school across town.
