A man was found dead Tuesday morning while firefighters from Fire District 44 and Enumclaw worked to extinguish a fire in the 18200 block of Southeast 396 Street, just east of the Muckleshoot Indian Reservation, the Puget Sound Regional Fire Authority reported. The first calls to 911 came in at 11 a.m. and reported heavy smoke coming from a single-story house and garage. While fighting the fire and searching the building, the first responders found the victim. No one else was found in the home.
