Firefighters battled flames on a Lynnwood church shuttle van as small explosions went off overnight. Hours later, police arrested a suspect seen in surveillance video on arson charges. The fire outside the Calvary Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church near 44th Avenue and 168th Street started at about 12:44 a.m. Monday. The van was destroyed by the flames, and at one point, the fire grew so fast and was so close to the church, firefighters had to make entry into the church to make sure the building didn’t catch fire as well. One side of the church was damaged by the fire that officials said was suspicious.
