Six people have been displaced by a house fire early Monday in Seattle's South Park neighborhood that was caused by improperly discarded smoking materials, fire officials said. Crews responded to the scene, in the 1200 block of South Cloverdale Street, at about 5:50 a.m. after receiving reports of smoke and flames at the home. White smoke could be seen coming from the eaves of the two-story home when fire crews arrived. Six men who live in the home were able to evacuate. None of them were injured. Firefighters were able to douse the flames, but the home can't be occupied. The Red Cross is helping the displaced residents to find lodging elsewhere.
