A paraglider who was trapped on a cliff face in Grant County has been rescued by a military helicopter.
At about 4 p.m. Sunday, rescuers were called out for a paraglider stuck on a cliff face, according to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.
A helicopter from the Yakima Firing Range arrived from across the Columbia River to make the rescue, said Kyle Foreman of the GCSO.
The paraglider's name and hometown has not been released. She was flown to the Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries around 7:15 p.m., as reported by the GCSO Facebook page.
