Washington firefighters remembered at State Capitol

Ten firefighters were honored Sunday at the annual Washington State Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service in Olympia. Friends, families and colleagues from around the state gathered to honor their lives. The fallen firefighter's names were stitched onto a ceremonial ribbon and presented to each family before being hung together at the State Capitol building. Seattle firefighter Stephan Lore, Wallace Goulay from Seattle, Captain James Swift from Redmond, Joshua Milton from the Seattle Fire Department, Bill Hutto from the Puget Sound Keyport Fire Department, Tristan Smith of Seattle, William Whitney of the Hanford Fire Department, Scott Steed from Seattle, Doug Archer from Spokane County Fire District 8, and Firefighter-Paramedic James Hendryx from Bremerton were all remembered.
