A late night fire destroyed a Maple Valley garage but firefighters were able to able to save a nearby house, officials said. Firefighters were called to the home in the 20600 block of SE 276th Street around 11:30 p.m. for report of a detached garage on fire. They arrived to find the garage full engulfed in flames. The firefighters were successful in keeping the other structures safe, but the garage was destroyed by the fire.
