Firefighters are working to put out a second alarm fire east of Terrace Heights. According to Public Information Officer Rick Woodall, the fire is around 70 acres in size, but is currently contained. Woodall said no one was injured in the fire, but two properties were threatened. Units from several fires stations, including Highland, Yakima, West Valley, Selah Training Center and Naches Heights responded to the fire, Woodall said. As of 6 p.m., the additional crews had left the scene, leaving the fire to the East Valley Fire Department, according to Woodall. Woodall said the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
