Fire officials are investigating the cause of a fire that damaged an Avalanche Court home Monday night and displaced its occupants.
Firefighters responding to the 7:10 p.m. call at 7309 Avalanche Court found flames coming from a back corner of the house, Shift Commander Tom Schneider said. Flames had started to spread inside, but Schneider said firefighters were able to stop the fire.
The home’s occupants and their pets were able to safely get out, Schneider said.
Due to smoke and water damage, the occupants were told to not stay in the house Monday night, Schneider said.
