With summer right around the corner wildfire season is quickly approaching and local firefighters say it's best to be prepared. Preparing what Benton County Fire District #2 spent all day doing Saturday with the Benton City community. Firefighters say the biggest way to protect your family from a wildfire is by keeping a clean, kept area around your home. It's a tip the fire district wished more people knew about last year. In 2015 they responded to more than 70 wildfires locally. "It really just solidifies that the fires are everywhere here in the community so not one person is really out of harm's way when it comes to the wildfire danger of any kind," said Benton County District #2 Firefighter Angelo Emerick.
