A homeowner and a firefighter were injured as flames tore through a home in West Seattle Monday morning. Firefighters were dispatched to a home in the Arbor Heights neighborhood, near 102nd Street and 38th Avenue SW shortly after 10 a.m. Seattle Fire said medics treated the elderly homeowner for minor smoke inhalation as firefighters worked to extinguish the flames. Crews quickly had the fire under control and were able to knock it out within minutes. One firefighter fell on the back deck, and was transported for treatment of a leg injury, Seattle Fire said. What sparked the fire is under investigation.
