Seattle firefighters rescue man hurt on high-rise construction site

(VIDEO) A construction worker who was injured on a high-rise had to be rescued by firefighters. Firefighters were called to the building in the 1000 block of Stewart Street in downtown Seattle at about 10:35 a.m. Monday. The man was struck by a 14-inch pipe. A Seattle fire high angle rescue team lowered the man down an elevator shaft. The victim has head and neck injuries but is alert and conscious. Firefighters said his injuries are non-life-threatening.
