Seattle fire investigators say an arsonist is at work in the North Seattle and Ballard neighborhoods.
Officials say they have evidence that four fires this weekend could be related.
Lauren Hohenstein first noticed a large fire just below her apartment window early Monday morning.
"It was terrifying," she said. "The recycling bin and the trash can were lined up against the wall and they were both engulfed in flames."
She called 911, but what she didn't know at the time was that a half block away, at 95th and Aurora, firefighters were already at work putting out another Dumpster fire. The flames were burning up the side of an apartment building.
Seattle fire officials say an arsonist kept them busy all weekend. A fire at 15th and 51st torched another Dumpster and nearly spread to the Ballard Brown Bear Car Wash. In all, four fires were intentionally set between Sunday morning and Monday morning.
