The Carpenter Road Fire experienced minimal growth overnight and is now listed at 65,346 acres and 40% contained. Drum Road and Cottonwood Road remain on Level 3 evacuation while the Spokane Indian Reservation remains on Level 1. "The west portion of the fire below Springdale-Hunters Road remains in patrol status with little to no heat. The south and southeast border of the fire remains in mop up and patrol status. Firefighters are mopping up by digging smoldering stumps and putting water on hot spots," according to a post by the Stevens County Fire District #1's Facebook page. Slow growth is expected over the next 24 hours.
