Seattle police are investigating a series of arsons near West Seattle's High Point neighborhood. One instance was captured on surveillance footage. It shows a man in a hooded sweatshirt lighting a fire at a bus stop near the 3500 block of SW Morgan Street. It happened around 2:30 a.m. on October 12. Seattle police posted the video to their YouTube page. It has been viewed more than 1,740 times, but there have not been any arrests yet. Tuesday night, Captain Pierre Davis told a room full of Block Watch Captains that there have been six fires in the month of October, and it is now apart of a bigger arson investigation. "Chances are this is the same individual who has gone around and done different heinous things throughout the corridor," said Captain Davis. There have been extra patrols in the area. Seattle police have been working with fire officials and ATF on the investigation. There is a $10,000 award fund. Anyone with information is asked to call 1-800-55-ARSON.
