A fire broke out in a Pasco woman's kitchen while she was cooking Thursday, say firefighters. City of Pasco Fire Chief Bob Gear says the elderly woman cooking at her home on 14th and Howard in Pasco believed she had the fire under control. Fire officials say there was heavy smoke in the attic area. The elderly woman inside the home was able to escape without any injuries. Multiple emergency units responded to the incident.
