Police in Renton have released a photo of a suspect wanted in connection with an arson this month at the Renton Wal-Mart. Renton Police announced Wednesday that the man had been identified.
He is described as a white male in his 20s or 30s, about 5-foot-10-inches tall with medium build. He was wearing olive green pants, a green hooded sweatshirt, a black t-shirt and black soccer-style shoes with white stripes.
According to police, the suspect entered the store at approximately 9:10 p.m. Dec. 3 and went to the sporting goods aisle, where he set hunting jackets on fire.
The jackets were located on a rack directly above shotgun shells. Police do not know if the suspect was attempting to somehow ignite the shells, and it does not appear that the fire was designed as a distraction to commit another crime.
The suspect appears to be on a cell phone as he leaves the store, but is not seen with anyone else.
