Enormous flames ripped through a house in the medical district, keeping firefighters busy all Saturday afternoon. The fire gutted the house, which is on Peabody Avenue and East Street. The building is believed to be vacant. Memphis Fire said no one was taken to the hospital. It’s not clear at this time what started the blaze.
