VIDEO: The Indianapolis Fire Department in investigating a fire that displaced three families and injured a firefighter early Tuesday morning. Fire crews responded to a call of an apartment fire just before 2:45 a.m. in the 5800 block of Cedarstone Ct. IFD marked the fire under control shortly before 3:30 a.m. IFD confirms three families were displaced and a firefighter was slightly injured. Officials said residents awoke to see their car on fire; they immediately left their apartment. The fire affected four units in the building; one of the units was unoccupied. Two units sustained heavy damage from the fire, while two others had smoke damage. Dispatchers received multiple 911 calls. In all, 22 IFD units were dispatched along with three Lawrence Fire Department units.
