PHOTO: Just after 5 Tuesday morning firefighters responded to a fire at 605 Lafayette Avenue in Terre Haute. Crews found heavy flames. Our photojournalist told us she could see flames several blocks before she got to the scene. Battalion Chief Doug Curry with the Terre Haute Fire Department told us the structures were not occupied and there were no injuries. Fire officials have not confirmed this, but bystanders told News 10 the fire happened at a trailer that was storing tires next to a body shop. A little before 6 a.m. the fire spread to a second structure. The fire remains under investigation.
