About 1,000 customers were affected by a downed power line in Tamuning.
On Monday afternoon, a power line went down and laid on the sidewalk in Tamuning on Marine Corps Drive near the Camacho Landmark Center.
The Guam Power Authority confirmed with The Guam Daily Post that the line went down at 12:23 p.m.
"A failure occurred with a line connector due to corrosion, which caused the distribution line to fall and resulted in a loss of power at 12:23 p.m. today, May 6, 2024. The downed line affected 1,045 customers on feeder/circuit P-201 located in Tamuning. The line has since been restored and energized as of 2:20 p.m.," GPA stated.
The Guam Fire Department also responded to the downed line and was on the scene to assist.
