Longtime Fairburn Deputy Fire Chief Jon Fore recently retired. According to a news release, he had a distinguished career of more than three decades in fire service. “It was an awesome opportunity to serve the citizens of Coweta County, the citizens of Riverdale and the citizens of Fairburn during my 32-year career,” Fore said in a statement. “I cherish every minute I was given to serve those people and their families. I am a very simple individual who loved this opportunity. God put me on this planet to serve others...it is in my DNA.” He said teamwork and comradery were especially important to him. Cornelius Robinson has replaced Fore. The city’s fire chief is John Reed Jr.
