Sandy Springs fire chief: Hydrants not being repaired fast enough

Sandy Springs Fire Chief Keith Sanders has a message for all residents: the fire hydrant near your home or business may not be working properly, but the fire department is doing what it can to get them fixed. But it is slowed by its partnership with the city of Atlanta, which is handling its water services and repairing the hydrants. The city has 3,205 public hydrants, all of which were inspected in 2016.
