The Laurens County EMA hosted a SKYWARN training session for the community Tuesday. Fire Chief Don Bryant knows the importance of the SKYWARN program. "It's important for us because we do serve our community and we're going to be some of the first ones out in the event that we do have severe damage or whatever," Bryant said. "It just makes them a little bit more aware and gives them a heads up of what may be coming." HAM radio operators attended the session.
