Punta Gorda man loses home to fire on 86th birthday

A Charlotte County man has nowhere to live after a fire ignited inside his home. It happened on the 7000 Block of Alan Boulevard Wednesday evening. The homeowner, Robert Erland, was inside his living room watching TV with his dog when the fire began.
