Eastbound E-470 is closed at 120th Avenue after a semi-truck went over a barrier wall, fell from an elevated stretch of road and landed upside down on Thursday morning. Firefighters were at the scene doing what they described as a “major extrication,” according to a tweet from Brighton Fire Rescue. Multiple vehicles were involved in the wreck, which was reported just after 8 a.m. At about 8:30 a.m., firefighters said they were able to extricate the driver of the semi. He was taken to the hospital in a helicopter. It's unclear if anyone else was injured in the wreck. Expect extended delays in the area as crews clean up a diesel spill.
